DescriptionA Postdoctoral Associate position is available starting
March 2026 in the laboratory of
Suzanne Chen in the
Department of Biology at New York University (New York, NY). The lab is broadly interested in
RNA-binding proteins and
RNA functions beyond protein production, with ongoing projects investigating the mechanisms of
mRNA packaging and organization and their connections to

scientific creativity,
rigor, and
new technical perspectives to the lab.

Postdoctoral housing within easy walking distance of the lab may be available for up to
three years, subject to eligibility and availability.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in
molecular biology and either prior experience in, or a strong desire to learn,
basic bioinformatic analyses. Applicants must hold a
PhD by the start date.
