Job description

This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching in the Community & Workforce Training department. The pool will remain open until June 2026 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available.

This position's primary responsibility is to work with a Lead Instructor to provide quality and supportive instruction and assessments for nursing assistant students in a classroom, lab, learning center, and/or clinical site. Supervision Received Works under the general supervision of the dean of business and workforce development. May take direction from the Nursing Assistant Education Specialist and/or Lead Instructor.

Examples of Duties - Essential Functions Demonstrate and Implement Board-approved curriculum content within clinical sites, lab and classroom settings. Instructs and assesses nursing assistant students in a classroom, lab, learning center, or clinical site. Represents the program and the college to the community, business, public agencies, and other organizations in a professional manner.

Works with Training Service Coordinator to ensure departmental equipment, supplies, and education materials are conducive to teaching and learning. Provides a positive, supportive learning environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Screening Criteria Education: Must hold active, unencumbered RN license. Only degrees received from an accredited institution will be accepted: accreditation must be recognized by the office of degree authorization, US Department of Education, as required by ORS 348.609. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for required degree

Licenses and Certificates: For assignments requiring operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License and proof of an acceptable driving record are required. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)). Experience: Must have at least one year of LPN or RN experience

Ability to: Ability to be "approved" by OSBN in the role of 'Clinical Teaching Associate" for Nursing Assistant programs Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below represent those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, climb, balance, see, talk, hear, and manipulate objects.

Physical duties required for this role are the same as the scope of practice for a certified nursing assistant. The position requires some mobility including the ability to move materials less than 5 pounds daily, 5-25 pounds occasionally, and 25-60 pounds rarely. This position requires both verbal and written communication abilities.
