Job description

Allied / Tech - Cath Lab Tech

Provides direct care to patients and provides assistance to the Cardiologist during all phases of the procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization lab. Performs a variety of technical and administrative duties that relate to the cardiac catheterization lab. Works primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations. Scheduled hours are typically 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, there is an on call obligation and overtime may be necessary at times. Patient population: Adults of 16 to 70 years, Elderly Adults, including frail elderly, Must be 80+ miles from the facility. DL required to submit. Graduate of an accredited technical program in Cardiovascular Technology or have a healthcare related associate’s degree with Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. 2 years experience in a cardiac catheterization or special procedures lab preferred. Current RCIS credential required.
