Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT Radiography certification and a Radiography license (license required if applicable).

Details
  • Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab department
  • 4x10 hour day shifts on 1st shift
  • Call requirement includes 1-2 weekday nights per week, plus 2 Fridays and 2 weekends (Sat/Sun) per 8-week schedule period
  • 40 hours per week
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiology or related field required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required
  • Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) Radiography License required if applicable
  • No prior experience required
Additional Information
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular procedures
  • Perform interventional procedures including thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart cases
  • Assist with permanent pacemaker/ICD implantation
  • Manage hemodynamic monitoring, IABP/Impella support, and arterial/venous sheath removals or closure devices
  • Respond to and manage procedural complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, and cardiac tamponade
  • Practice radiation safety and ALARA principles, including performing and recording quality control checks
  • Complete annual competency validations for unit-specific requirements
  • Maintain professional composure and effective communication in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
