Job description

Kelly Science & Clinical is hiring a 3rd Shift Laboratory Technician for a growing company located in Waterbury, CT.
 
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (will train on first shift)
Pay: $23–$26 per hour (based on experience)
 
About the Role:
You’ll help develop samples and colors to meet company and customer needs. You’ll track and report on how the anodizing department is performing, keep materials stocked, and support the lab as needed.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and blend chemicals according to established recipes, ensuring accurate additions from bulk tanks.
  • Perform lab testing of chemical components and final products; record and maintain lab results.
  • Monitor and manage lab and chemical inventories to ensure continuous production support.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab and process equipment; keep lab and warehouse clean and organized.
  • Oversee waste treatment system operations, including chemical additions, sampling, probe calibration, documentation, and related projects.
  • Receive and organize chemical shipments; manage warehouse logistics and disposal of empty containers.
  • Collect process data, monitor KPIs, and alert management of significant changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate’s Degree or related certification accepted
  • 1+ years of experience in the chemical industry preferred
  • Good communication skills (speaking and writing)
  • Strong color recognition skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SAP, and similar programs
