Job Description

Applies the techniques of molecular and cellular biology, including analysis of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) ribonucleic acid (RNA) and proteins to the discovery of drugs, development of drugs and/or to help identify molecular targets that play a key role in a particular disease process. 

The role will have a heavy emphasis on mammalian tissue culture techniques and banking of cell lines. 

Uses state-of-the-art techniques to screen cancer cell lines in an effort to Client therapeutic and/or diagnostic bioproducts or to make such substances available as tools for other research projects. 

Conducts research in such areas as molecular genetics, gene cloning, gene expression, host vector systems and/or cell biology. 

Requires an understanding of one or more of the following: molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology,and/or virology. 

Multi-tasking and organizational skills at the bench a must. 


Qualifications

Bachelor s degree with relevant work experience or Master s degree with lab experience.
