Job description

We are seeking Lab Assistant - General Lab Support to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:
Provide administrative and laboratory support by assisting with routine laboratory procedures, specimen processing, storage activities, and laboratory maintenance. Help ensure laboratory operations remain organized, compliant, and efficient while supporting safety and quality requirements. Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Maintain laboratory glassware by washing, rinsing, drying, distributing, and storing laboratory materials
  • Clean and disinfect workstations, equipment, and laboratory areas to support a safe working environment
  • Prepare, label, sterilize, and organize laboratory supplies, tubes, equipment, and materials
  • Support specimen storage, sample banking, retrieval activities, and post-analysis storage processes
  • Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance and routine laboratory preparation activities, including simple buffer preparation
  • Help manage laboratory inventory, supply organization, and workstation cleanliness
  • Follow safety, quality, regulatory, and 6S requirements while maintaining accurate workflow support
What We Are Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. (Some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require an Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.)
  • 6 months of experience at a regulated lab environment
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, terminology, sterilization, decontamination procedures, and hazardous waste management
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and support laboratory workflow
  • Basic computer skills with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Commitment to continuous learning, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
