Job description

Pay Range:

$36.50 - $55.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS is seeking a Dedicated On Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cath Lab Team, providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures at both St. Vincent and St. Mary's Hospitals. This role is ideal for patient-focused, mission-driven individuals who thrive in a flexible environment and are committed to delivering high-quality care across multiple locations based on patient and provider needs.
On call - 3:30p-7:00am (Monday - Friday)
Weekends on call 24 hours (Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-7:00am)
Salaried position: Monday to Monday - on a week and off a week (paid for 80 hours) - but can also pick up shifts during the off week that will pay as overtime.
4 mandatory RN shifts a month included (7:00am-3:30pm)
Must be within a 30 minute response time

Education Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • If assigned to the Cath Lab: 3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab is required. May consider 1 year of cath lab nursing experience and at least 2 years of critical care nursing experience. Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral and neuro cases, as well as device implants is required.
  • If assigned to OR, CVOR, GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology: 1 year of nursing experience in designated area is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
  • Wisconsin: RNs may begin employment with a valid multi-state RN license; a WI RN license will be required within 30 days of establishing permanent residency.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Cath Lab, GI/Endo and Interventional Radiology: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
