Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team. The role involves utilizing a variety of lab equipment and software to process and manage products efficiently, while adhering to protocols and maintaining quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of lab equipment, including thermal cyclers and automated liquid handling workstations.
  • Utilize computers and custom software in a Windows-based environment.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols, contamination controls, safety procedures, and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO requirements.
  • Quantify and sample products for quality control tests.
  • Identify process or equipment issues and seek appropriate assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed product and instrument records.
  • Assess quality control data to ensure products meet outlined specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
  • Maintain daily shipping deadlines and manage the pipeline for further product processing.
  • Follow documented custom instructions when applicable.
  • Contribute to and support an efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and management to ensure detailed information transfer.
  • Perform various PCR protocols and subsequent post-PCR cleanup steps.
  • Execute multiple processes simultaneously to ensure efficiency in product handling.
  • Use aseptic techniques to minimize contamination risks.
  • Organize and prioritize workload for efficient product manufacture.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.35 - $25.23/hr.
