Job description

Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team at an Industry Leading Company. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing units for testing, documenting test procedures and results for each unit, and providing testing data to engineering.

Responsibilities: Lab Technician

  • Assist with performance testing for UL, NSF, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing in support of pre-production and production runs.
  • Interact with manufacturing to resolve quality and certification compliance issues.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used in the testing process.
  • Interact with customers to resolve certification and quality issues.
  • Periodically travel to customer sites to perform on-site testing and analysis.
  • Work with outside test laboratories to conduct testing as required.
  • Suggest changes in procedures and standards to facilitate work and maintain quality.
  • Interface with purchasing, production/production control, design engineering, and customer service to ensure that all testing meets company and customer requirements.

Requirements: Lab Technician

  • An Associate Degree and three years of related experience are preferred, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Candidates with production (manufacturing) experience and strong mechanical processes are highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate should be familiar with testing equipment, instruments, and related safety procedures, as well as engineering terminology concepts, blue print interpretation, and electrical wiring practices.
  • Strong computer, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The position requires the ability to handle a minimum of 2-3 tasks simultaneously on a frequent basis.
