We are seeking Lab Assistant- Lab General Support to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:
Support laboratory operations by assisting with routine laboratory procedures, specimen processing, storage, and retrieval activities. This role helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment while providing administrative and technical support to laboratory staff. Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Maintain laboratory glassware by washing, rinsing, drying, distributing, and storing materials
  • Clean and disinfect laboratory work areas, equipment, and workbenches to support compliance and safety standards
  • Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies, equipment, and other materials for operational readiness
  • Label tubes and prepare specimens for laboratory workflows
  • Facilitate post-analysis storage, sample banking, and specimen retrieval activities
  • Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance and routine operational checks
  • Support inventory management and general organization of laboratory workstations
  • Follow safety, quality, regulatory, and 6S requirements while participating in ongoing training and development
What We Are Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require an Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution)
  • 6 months of relevant work experience in a regulated laboratory preferred
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
  • Basic computer skills with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Understanding of sterilization, decontamination procedures, and hazardous waste management
  • Knowledge of safe exposure practices related to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
