IMCis currently looking to hire a Lab Assistant on a Fulltime basis. The Lab Assistant is responsible for collectionof specimens for lab testing on inpatients, outpatients, emergency room andclinic patients.  The Lab Assistant is responsible for application oflearned techniques necessary to obtain quality specimens to aid the techs inreliable results.  The Lab Assistant will be responsible for developingcomputer skills for the Laboratory Information System and complying with allregulatory requirements, including Lab Compliance. This position requires adeptsocial skills and teamwork.  The Lab Assistant is responsible for assistingthe tech with certain preliminary routines including instrument maintenance,some QC, instrument startup routines, daily routines (temp checks, work areadisinfection, etc.).  The Lab Assistants may be trained to do non-waivedand limited waived testing. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION

         High school diploma

         Current certification for DOT Drug Screen Collections may berequired.

         Current certification for EBT may be required.

 LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

         LA license as Laboratory Assistant

 TRAININGAND EXPERIENCE

         Experience may be required, depending on assignment

 JOB KNOWLEDGE

         Must possess phlebotomy training

         May be required to have experience collecting drug screens withCOC

         May be required to haveexperience with BAT
