Position Overview
The Lab Technician, Chemistry supports the Scientists on the R&D team through wet chemistry and instrumental analysis. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a Bachelor's in the sciences who enjoys practical lab work and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment. This is a long-term contract position, and some associates are hired directly by the company.
Responsibilities Of The Lab Technician
  • The Lab Technician will be assisting with sample preparation, testing, documentation, and general laboratory support.
  • Carefully weighing and mixing raw materials.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accurately weigh, measure, mix, and prepare materials.
  • Performing wet chemistry and instrumental testing to evaluate physical and chemical properties.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workbench and laboratory space.
  • Entering, reviewing, and verifying test data with attention to accuracy and traceability.
  • Managing chemical, sample, and consumable inventory to ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Adhering strictly to all safety protocols to maintain a safe and professional laboratory environment.
Required Experience/Skills For The Lab Technician
  • The Lab Technician will need hands-on experience handling chemicals, managing waste disposal, and documenting experimental results (academic experience is great!).
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
  • Ability to independently calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment.
