Powdercoat Lab Technician

Our Powdercoat Lab Technicians are responsible for performing daily quality control activities for the powdercoat line, coordinating and assisting with preventative maintenance activities with the maintenance department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean and presentable workplace.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on pre-treatment wash tanks and maintenance tasks.
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Analyze data for trends, take corrective action and report performance to management.
  • Perform titrations, such as quantitative volumetric chemical analysis, report generation and record retention.
  • Assure that customer performance requirements standards are met.
  • Assist in controlling the highest quality finished product through the means of inspection, analysis, maintenance, and working as a liaison to Quality and Maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Powdercoat Manager to resolve line performance and quality problems.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor and management.

 Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: 2-5 yrs laboratory manufacturing and quality inspection experience with knowledge of titrations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, Word, Excel
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday; will be required to lift between up to 75 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 110lbs occasionally.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with CQI-12 and IATF16949 certifications
  • Forklift experience
