Job description

Description

  • Reviews and Accessions specimens and testing orders for laboratory analysis
  • Assists technologists and technicians with the operation of standard laboratory instruments
  • Perform routine laboratory assistant duties according to agency standards and protocols
  • Perform specimen or reception check, and records information into LIS~Z
  • Performs proper storage of specimens after testing and properly discard according to SOPM
  • Cleans work area, and surrounding laboratory after completion of work day
  • Requisition Review and restock department daily

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Offical High School Diploma will be required)
  • 3-6 months experience working in a similar role
  • Must have excellent data entry skills
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Understanding of Laboratory quality control and assurance preferred
  • Knowledge of general laboratory safety issues and universal precautions
