Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCIS or ARRT certification to support cardiac catheterization procedures in a teaching hospital setting.

Details
  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, typically 7:30 AM-6:00 PM (Wednesdays 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
  • On-call obligation of approximately 4-6 days per month, including up to 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday per week
  • Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Uses GE MacLab/CardioLab equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS (CCI) or ARRT certification required
  • Washington State Radiology License required if applicable
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and monitoring Cath procedures including PCIs and PTCA
  • Experience with support devices including IABP and Impella
  • Experience with left and right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Skills with Temp Pacing Wires, IVUS, CSI, Shockwave, and FFR/IFR preferred
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include accurate procedural monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing in on Cath Lab procedures
  • Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
  • Facility is a Level Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
  • Scrubs of any color are accepted and provided for OR personnel
  • First-time travelers will be considered depending on experience
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week; time off cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment
  • Facility closed for holidays including Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
  • Prior UW Medical Center staff must have a minimum 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
