Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Charlotte Hall Facility

Address: 30007 Business Center Drive, Charlotte Hall

Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM

Hourly Rate: $15 - $18.50/hour (based on education/experience)

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected
  • Answer phone calls and complete documentation and filing as needed to support medical staff at the facility.
  • Complete medical records accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with admissions and the consent process for clients, providing ongoing support during medical appointments.
  • Obtain vital signs and urine screens, documenting outcomes appropriately for medical team review.
  • Complete lab requisitions upon admission and as needed, monitoring outcomes and reviewing with the medical team as necessary.
  • Create and distribute client packets efficiently.
  • Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
  • Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Experience in a drug and alcohol and/or residential setting, preferred.
  • Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants in lieu of high school diploma/GED.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant through employment or a successful internship, preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, preferred.
