Job Title: Part‑Time Lab Assistant (Day Shift: 19-30 hours)

Position Summary

Supports trades faculty by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment. Assists with lab setup, equipment management, and student skill practice during daytime class sessions.

Location: Warwick, R.I.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tools, materials, and lab stations before classes.
  • Assist instructors during demonstrations and hands‑on activities.
  • Guide students in safe and proper use of plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Monitor lab safety, enforce PPE requirements, and report hazards.
  • Maintain, clean, and organize lab spaces; track and restock materials.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Practical construction trade experience.
  • Knowledge of tools, materials, and installation practices.
  • Ability to support safe tool use and lab procedures.
  • Strong communication and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or trade program completion.
