We are currently looking for a Sanitation Technician to join our growing team!

JOB SUMMARY

Performs general sanitation tasks such as disposing of waste, preparing chemical solutions for the cleaning of glassware and equipment, and the washing of glassware and other laboratory materials.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dispose of Waste generated by the facility in accordance with company and environmental regulations
  • Discard used laboratory materials as needed
  • Mix water, detergents, and/or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solution according to specifications
  • Wash, rinse, dry, and sterilize glassware and instruments
  • Scrub walls, floors, shelves, tables, and sinks
  • Prepare and maintain bacteriological media and chemical solutions, utilizing proper labeling, handling, storage, use, and disposal of solutions, including autoclaved and hazardous waste
  • Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area
  • Responsible for the completion of required training

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment
  • Ability to lift heavy items and materials
  • Ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to be reliable and work well with others
