This role follows an onsite model to accommodate business needs while maintaining team collaboration.This role is intended for jobs that span multiple disciplines, products, focuses of expertise or do not meet the responsibilities described in any of the focuses in this area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the online sample analysis request program, log incoming samples, and match them to analysis requests.
  • Analyze samples using Neogen's test kits, following kit instructions and specific customer or sales requests.
  • Generate and analyze data from various laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
  • Calibrate analytical instruments and ensure all lab equipment is ISO-compliant.
  • Perform tasks essential to maintaining ISO Certification.
  • Participate in sample proficiency programs such as FGIS/GIPSA, FAPAS, and AOCS.
  • Conduct minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist the Reference Material Department with sample preparation, testing, and weighing of reference materials.
  • Tabulate and graph data, preparing technical reports for senior personnel.
  • Participate in kit validations for agencies, including FGIS/GIPSA, AOAC, and others.

Education & Experience Competency Requirements:
  • Minimum Associate's degree in a science-related field OR
  • High School diploma with some college science coursework and 1 year of relevant Lab Technician experience.
