Job description

Overview

Performs repetitive and basic therapeutic procedures consistent with the duties of a Patient Care Aide.  Supports team members by assisting as needed to assure optimal patient care.  Assists with duties (within scope of limitations) in lab rooms when needed.

Qualifications

Education: 

High School diploma/GED required.

BCLS required within 90 days of employment.  EKG Competency Testing is required within the first 90 days of employment and annually; visual identification of 5 Lethal Cardiac Rhythms, passing with a score of 100%

Experience:

Minimum of six months in the Patient Care Aide role or equivalent position.  Possesses knowledge of basic understanding of cardiopulmonary anatomy.

Additional Skills/Abilities: 

Ability to adapt to a fast paced dynamic work environment related to changing daily work schedules, working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease and maintains absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.  Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
