Fits mechanical parts and subassemblies into different types of machinery and products. Conducts measures of products and adjusts them. Responsible for upkeep of workstation. Works according to established trade and shop practices. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision.

Fits mechanical parts and subassemblies into different types of machinery and products. Conducts measures of products and adjusts them. Responsible for upkeep of workstation. Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping

  • Ability to train and work in all areas of production

  • Perform relief duties in all areas of production

  • Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards

  • Label and seal packages

  • Palletize packages

  • Label boxes and stack on pallets in serial number order

  • Label finished pallets with production move ticket

  • Assist the continuous running of equipment

  • Use the safety and protective equipment as required

  • Communicate issues related to paperwork, materials, products and equipment to management / team leaders

  • Understand company expectations and perform accordingly

  • Cross train in other Work Centers as needed

  • Participate in any Lean or Process Improvement initiatives

  • Assist the Supervisor in improving productivity and efficiency of the operation

  • Observe the process and initiate/own activities to improve the process

  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

  • Operate production line machinery and computers

  • Work and communicate well in a team environment

  • Reject product outside of specifications

  • Flexibility to learn and perform various tasks

  • Clean and maintain work area

  • Develop and share suggestions for improvement

  • Meet minimum productivity requirements

  • Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor

Requirements Include:

Ability to work independently as well as with other departments
Proven ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively


Technical Skill Requirements:
o Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, parts and computers

o Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
o Ability to stand for extended periods of time


Education/Experience Requirements:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Ability to read and write in English for purposes of filling out various production documentation (SOP's, Lot Control, etc.)
o Basic math skills
o Measuring skills
o 1+ year working in a manufacturing environment
