Job description

Description


The overall objective of License & Title Clerk is to process and submit registration documents to

the purchaser's state of residence to register their newly acquired vehicle within strict state

deadlines. Your attention to detail and organization skills will ensure that all vehicle

documentation is completed accurately and on time.


  • Process new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
  • Prepare tax and title documents
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Check for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete
  • Maintaining schedule notes on unprocessed transactions
  • Maintaining title records for inventory vehicles
  • Following up with banks, customers, auctions, and wholesalers on missing inventory titles
  • Processing registration renewals for company owned fleet
  • Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations.
  • Coordinate with customers, sales staff, and DMV to resolve any title related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to vehicle titles.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Previous Automotive or RV title experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous Automotive or RV dealership experience preferred, but not required
