As a Senior Payroll Representative at GE Appliances, you will be a part of a dynamic team environment supporting the Payroll Manager with various payroll processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and seamless payroll operations, contributing to our commitment to excellence.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Issue Resolution: Assist Payroll Manager in troubleshooting payroll issues such as missing payments, retro payments, and pay rate changes, ensuring accurate and timely resolutions.
  • Payroll Adjustments and Benefits Processing: Input payroll adjustments and process benefit-related payments such as adoption, emergency aid, and completing wage statements with precision and adherence to company policies.
  • Audit Reporting: Run and analyze audit reports (Kronos) to ensure data integrity, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies or errors.
  • Data Integrity and Accuracy: Maintain a high level of data integrity and accuracy in all payroll processes by meticulously auditing payroll data and implementing checks to prevent errors.
  • Timecard Accuracy: Ensure timecards are coded correctly and submitted timely for payroll runs, and proactively follow up with business leaders to address any discrepancies.
  • Report Creation and Management: Create and manage ad hoc and template Workday reports, providing valuable insights and data analysis to support payroll operations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Take direction from multiple managers and work collaboratively across departments to streamline payroll operations and enhance communication.
  • Prompt Inquiry Response: Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees, HR managers, and business leaders, delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Project Support: Support Payroll Manager with various project work, contributing to the successful execution of payroll initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the Payroll COE to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall payroll performance.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in payroll processing and/or administrative responsibilities.
  • Experience using Kronos and Workday; or similar payroll system.
  • Proven analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Problem-solving abilities and detail-oriented, with a commitment to process ownership

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous high-level transaction processing experience.
