Job description

Essential Duties

  • Specify and create CAD drawings for custom-fabricated assemblies and manufactured items based on various information sources.
  • Communicate and validate design requirements with internal and external customers to ensure alignment with design intent.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of fabrication methods and capabilities to provide buildable, custom solutions.
  • Manage drawing packages and documents related to customer orders and internal process documentation.
  • Select and specify system components or product modifications to ensure conformance with design and performance specifications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to advance the accuracy and efficiency of CAD department and/or its team members operations.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support team and project objectives.

Base Qualifications and Competencies

  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software required. AutoCAD and blueprint reading experience is strongly preferred. Must also have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.) for document and data management.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 0 – 5 years. Experience in production, plastics, manufacturing or fabrication a plus.

Required:
