Summary
The Total Rewards Specialist position is an onsite partner role reporting directly into the People Leader and collaborates among HR, Recruiting, and Executive Office support. Primary role will be to execute the 3-year Total Rewards Tactics with activities related to the People Strategy prioritizing Customer Care, High Value Transactional Processing and overall wellness, benefits and compensation projects as determined by quarter.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Care
-Offering knowledge and support to employees as they have questions, concerns and issues requiring support and care from the People Team.
-Offer critical thinking, solutions and input on associate inquiries, challenges, and tactical total rewards tasks that need to be supported.
-Support and facilitate activities to ensure positive cultural engagement as leadership identifies opportunities relative to Total Rewards.
-Offer presence and Total Rewards representation during company meetings, education, teaming and Wellness events
-Help define within the company what Customer Care means to Scotlynn as we evolve as a company, to ensure relevance to our employees onboarding and to those we look to attract to Scotlynn.
Project Work Supporting the People Strategy with Total Rewards Tactics
-Support the People Strategy-Total Rewards with creative solutions that are trending and relevant to our business and employees. Work in a team environment being collaborative as projects get assigned, executed, and completed.
-Continuous improvement is critical as we continue to grow; always look for ways to do things better, more efficiently, while keeping a simple mindset on how we get work completed.
-Cultural impacting projects as identified by the President and leadership team is supported with energy and enthusiasm.
-Establish basic repetitive reporting for leadership and stakeholders within and outside of the People function. Tell the story in addition to pulling data to provide directional ideas to enhance benefits while being fiscally responsible.
High Value Transactional Work
-Day to day processing of important work that impacts our business and employees at work. This includes our onboarding process, orientation, answering benefit questions and creating a great first impression and experience for new hires.
-Lead and execute regularly scheduled benefit compliance obligations (ACA, 5500s, Non-Discrimination Testing, PCORI)
-Continuously explore AI applications into our benefit processes.
-Assist in ensuring customer care and critical work is completed during peak times, vacations and change in our People talent. Commitment to "roll up the sleeves" mindset and teamwork is paramount, and we all jump in together to get the work completed.
-Continue to strengthen the total rewards function as it matures over time and overall coordination in partnership with the People Leader.
-Continue to hone and expand the Kronos knowledge, goal to become a valued benefits partner always seeking to keep skills and knowledge current with complimentary certifications.
-Be a technical and data geek, seek ways to help tell a data story for our leaders and employees.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in business management, Human Resource Management or other related field with 2-4 years of experience.
2. Possess relevant experience in compliance activities along with solid benefit transactional disciplines to ensure timely, high-quality completion of work which impact the employee life cycle from Benefits, Wellness, Onboarding, Project Management, Compensation and Engagement relative to Total Rewards.
3. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws
4. Curious learner with examples of A application into the Total Rewards work
5. Organizational and time management skills
6. Strong analytical abilities using excel, Kronos, and benefit vendor systems to offer insights monthly/quarterly
7. Knowledgeable in Kronos Workforce Ready, Teams, Office suite of products (PPT, Word, Excel), Culture Amp
8. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and focus to see projects through to completion.
9. Strong positivity, interpersonal savvy, and communication skills.
10. Positive visibility and presence are required to maintain a professional demeanor & appearance on behalf of the company internally and externally.
