Job description

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and internal safety standards.

  • Support the coordination of regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improved OSHA compliance.

  • Document and track customer accident reports, ensuring proper follow-up and recordkeeping procedures.

  • Process and file employee accident reports, gathering necessary documentation and assisting with internal investigations.

  • Provide administrative support in managing workersโ€™ compensation cases, including claim initiation, coordination with insurance providers, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Monitor and ensure timely processing of workersโ€™ compensation claims; provide clerical support to employees during the process.

  • Help organize and schedule accident prevention programs and employee safety training sessions in coordination with the Safety or HR team.

  • Distribute safety resources and training materials to promote awareness and a culture of workplace safety.

  • Assist in compiling data for risk assessments and prepare summary reports to support risk mitigation strategies.

  • Provide administrative support for budgeting, forecasting, and generating performance and financial analysis reports.

  • Help prepare and distribute reports and recommendations for process improvements and policy updates.

  • Assist in maintaining insurance expense documentation and tracking short- and long-term forecast data.

  • Support review of policy limits and deductibles within the Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), and assist in generating metric-based reports.

  • Communicate risk management policies, procedures, and updates to internal stakeholders through emails, reports, or presentations.

  • This position requires occasional travel (up to 30%) to various company locations or field sites for the purpose of supporting safety audits, accident investigations, employee training sessions, or compliance-related initiatives.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.

  • Experience in handling customer and employee accident reports, incident investigations, and follow-up procedures.

  • Proficiency in managing workers' compensation cases, understanding claims processes, and liaising with insurance providers.

  • Ability to develop and deliver accident prevention training programs, promoting safety awareness and best practices.

  • Excellent communication abilities to effectively convey safety information, collaborate with stakeholders, and document incidents.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, investigate incidents, and implement preventive measures.

  • Meticulous attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and compliance-related tasks.

  • Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, HR, legal counsel, and external partners for incident management and prevention efforts.
