Job description

Salary: Competitive

Kopp Glass, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of high-performance, custom glass products, is seeking to hire an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a focus on mechanical systems to play a key role in our manufacturing process. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. This includes maintaining general property structures including their mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems in compliance with OSHA safety regulations, EPA, and Kopp Glass policies and procedures.


Schedule:MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 3:00 PM (1st Shift)
(No rotating shifts)


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Maintains building environment including heating, ventilation, and basic plumbing systems
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electronic components
  • Troubleshoot and repair 220 / 480 volt-three phase electrical systems
  • Fabricates fixtures, gauges, and necessary parts for machinery and equipment
  • Maintain equipment to manufacturer or Kopp Glass specification in order to meet internal and external customer needs


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School or General Education Diploma (GED). Technical school certification in Industrial/Mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience required. Three-phase electrical experience strongly preferred. Welding and HVAC experience a plus.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Must be available for call-in and overtime shifts as needed
