POSITION SUMMARY 

A dependable, accountable, and detail-oriented sales professional committed to excellence who serves as the primary operational and sales support resource for the Director of Sales and the sales team. Provides leadership, coaching, scheduling coordination, process implementation, and operational support across assigned locations. Functions as a selling supervisor responsible for achieving personal sales goals while supporting team members through training, accountability, problem-solving, and process execution. Promotes a positive, high-performance culture focused on consistency, organization, customer service, teamwork, and results.

Requirements

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary operational support resource to the Director of Sales and sales team.

Meet personal sales goals and performance expectations while leading by example.

Assist in achieving territory and organizational sales goals.

Coordinate sales team schedules, staffing, PTO coverage, and location coverage needs.

Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, coach, and support new and existing sales representatives.

Serve as the primary resource for sales team questions regarding processes, paperwork, CRM usage, customer service matters, and company policies.

Assist the Director of Sales with implementation and reinforcement of sales initiatives, policies, procedures, and best practices.

Monitor and reinforce compliance with sales processes, CRM expectations, and company standards.

Assist team members with contracts, interment agreements, cemetery records, and supporting paperwork.

Assist team members in the field, including appointment support, coaching opportunities, and customer interactions as needed.

Help resolve customer service concerns and support team members in difficult situations.

Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and customer service excellence.

Conduct difficult conversations in a respectful, productive, and solutions-oriented manner when necessary.

Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist with planning and coordination of sales meetings, contests, training programs, and special projects.

Promote positive working relationships between the sales team and all other departments.

Assist the Director of Sales with performance coaching, team development, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Life Insurance Producer License preferred or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Work involves sedentary to light work in an office setting. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 20 pounds), and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Travel between locations, community events, and appointments is required. Fairmount Memorial Association promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum of three years of successful sales experience, preferably in the cemetery and funeral services industry, with demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Valid state driver's license with an insurable driving history. Demonstrated ability to organize, implement, and maintain operational processes while supporting team performance, accountability, and customer service excellence. 

COMPENSATION 

Participates in the applicable sales and bonus plan. 

In addition, the Sales Operations Supervisor is eligible for:

$2,000 monthly leadership incentive

Eligibility for leadership and development incentives is contingent upon active employment in the Sales Operations Supervisor role and compliance with applicable company policies and procedures.
