As we expand across our markets, we're looking for a driven, hands-on leader who can keep our daily operations running safely and efficiently. That's where you come in.

As our Operations Manager, you'll oversee daily waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling operations at your location, leading the drivers, dispatchers, and route supervisors who make it all happen. You'll be responsible for service delivery, regulatory compliance, employee safety, fleet performance, and customer satisfaction, all while managing operational costs and productivity. This role is a great fit for someone with strong leadership instincts who thrives on solving problems in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection operations
  • Supervise drivers, dispatchers, route supervisors, and other operational staff
  • Develop and optimize collection routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Enforce company safety policies and conduct regular safety training
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer complaints, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage operational budgets, labor costs, fuel usage, and disposal expenses
  • Coordinate with landfill, transfer station, and recycling facility personnel
  • Track and report operational KPIs, including route completion rates, productivity, and customer service metrics
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate operational employees
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support business growth and service quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Environmental Services, or a related field preferred

  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and environmental compliance standards
