Job description:

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center and ensuring efficient and effective warehouse management.

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including hiring and training.

· Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize productivity and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory control team.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

· Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.

· Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze data for process improvement.

· Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, implementing OSHA guidelines for safety compliance.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

· Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.

· Works with Operations Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

· Previous experience in a similar role as a Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Supervisor in a distribution center or logistics environment.

· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including materials handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.

· Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus.

· Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.

· Ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance, coaching, and support

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· High volume, multi-facility oversite, and Customer facing.

· Must have previous experience in unload, distribution, and P&L.

· Excellent organizational skills and mindfulness.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.

· Bilingual (Spanish/English a plus)
