Job Description
The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall provide support to facilitate oral and written communications requirements for the Client with other Government elements, foreign partners, the private sector, and the public. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall support the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products that may include finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, speeches, digital interactive products, graphics, presentations, booklets, mobile products, and impermanent/permanent web content for the Client and its directorates, centers, oversight offices, and offices. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall assist and collaborate in developing communications standards, guidelines, and processes; streamlining and improving communications standards; reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives; and composing, coordinating, and consolidating recurring reports and work products. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall work with the Government to ensure all communication support activities are consistent with Section 508 accessibility standards.
Content Developer (Senior)
  • Leads support to the Client in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of web content, including social media presence
  • Mentors and trains junior staff
  • Utilizes request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests
  • Coordinates with Knowledge Management as needed for publication of web content
  • Coordinates with UI/UX designer and Knowledge Management to ensure web content provides an engaging and user-friendly experience
  • Develops, manages, and publishes SOPs related to documentation and editing
  • Collaborates in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of web content
  • Makes recommendations for improving web content accessibility for stakeholders

  • Supports the Client to develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
  • Utilizes request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests
  • Coordinates with UI/UX designer and Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience
  • Creates graphic designs for variety of written and digital products
  • Assists in developing design concepts and implementing designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online
  • Provides design services, including website graphics, social media graphics, HTML newsletter graphics, and support for print projects
  • Ensures products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
  • Conducts technical quality checks
  • Manages an approved concept and builds it in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles
  • Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps

Qualifications
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or no degree and 9+ years of experience
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant MS applications, including Visio
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful solutions
  • Extensive experience with supporting the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products
  • Highly proficient technical writing capability is desired
