General Summary:The purpose of this role is to lead and execute key technology, knowledge management, and reporting initiatives within the Law Department. This role focuses on advancing the organization's use of modern information management capabilities, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and unlock business value.
The Director will partner closely with business, legal, and technology stakeholders to identify and deploy scalable tools and solutions that optimize how information is created, accessed, and leveraged. This leader plays a critical role in shaping and delivering the Law Technology roadmap by evaluating emerging technologies, identifying high-impact use cases, and driving implementation efforts across multiple functions.
The incumbent is recognized as a subject matter contributor in information management tools and legal technology solutions, with responsibility for translating business needs into practical technology-enabled outcomes. The role requires strong collaboration, communication, and execution skills to deliver outcomes in a complex, matrixed environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for the design and execution of information management, reporting, and legal technology initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and Law Department effectiveness.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI and advanced analytics use cases, including document processing, knowledge management, workflow automation, and data insights.
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand challenges and implement technology-enabled solutions.
  • Support the development and execution of the Law Technology roadmap.
  • Lead deployment and optimization of information management platforms such as document management systems, enterprise search, reporting, and collaboration tools.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and drive cross-functional project execution.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for Law Department technology investments.
  • Drive change management, including communication, training, and adoption initiatives within the Law Department.
  • Build strong partnerships across multiple stakeholders and serve asa liaisonbetween Law Department and IT teams.
  • Prepare executive-level materials and manage vendor relationships.

Job Specifications

  • BS or BA degree in related field required or significant, relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools and enterprise platforms
  • Strong people management experience
  • Effective change management experience excelling in communication, stakeholder management skills
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to apply those skills to provide creative, resourceful recommendations to complex business needs
  • Experience with corporate law department or law firm technology systems preferred
  • Exceptional ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence various business partners and senior leaders in order drive adoption of change
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics programs that deliver actionable insights for business leaders.

$89,900.00-$169,900.00
