The Disability Insurance Branch is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, and collaborative Supervisor I to oversee the enhancement, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our knowledge repository. This leader will oversee a Knowledge Management Systems Unit. The ideal candidate for this role enjoys ensuring employees have access to accurate, current, and easy to use information to effectively perform their work functions. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping how our teams share, retain, and apply critical information in support of California's Disability Insurance programs. In this role, the Supervisor I is a critical thread bringing together people, policies, and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to the creation, curation, and delivery of key procedures. They will collaborate across teams ensuring that everyone from field agents to senior decision-makers has the information they need when they need it most. You will guide a high-performing team, streamline how knowledge flows, and champion smarter, faster communication across the branch.
This position is a part of the Disability Insurance Command Center Division. The Disability Insurance Branch of the Employment Development Department ensures eligible Californians receive paid wage replacement benefits when they are unable to work due to a non-work-related illness, injury or pregnancy. The Command Center Division in the DIB, where this position is located, oversees workload performance, collects real-time data analytics and focuses on providing best-in-class training and quality management oversight for the Branch. This position is eligible for hybrid telework, which may be subject to change.
The candidate will be required to live in California and report to the nearest DIB office for their in-office days. The headquarters is located in downtown Sacramento; with multiple field office locations across the state of California.
