Knowledge Manager

The Opportunity:

As the Knowledge Manager, you will lead efforts to revolutionize knowledge sharing and collaboration by integrating modern KM practices, military requirements, and innovative tools like Army 365. Your work will focus on enhancing automation, situational awareness, and decision-making to support mission success. Working under the guidance of the Knowledge Management Officer, you'll oversee a team of KM specialists to develop and execute a streamlined KM strategy. By improving information organization, storage, and dissemination, you'll accelerate decision cycles, enhance the Common Operational Picture, and foster an agile, learning-focused organization. You'll also provide guidance to optimize KM systems, ensuring tools and processes meet mission needs. Your creativity and user-first mindset will transform how personnel interact with KM tools, enabling smarter workflows, effective collaboration, and seamless information sharing.

What You'll Work On:

  • Perform knowledge management assessments to evaluate information flow and organizational performance

  • Integrate information systems for interoperability between commander, staff, and partners

  • Implement and maintain a content management plan covering creation, organization, transfer, and archiving of content

  • Assess and refine battle rhythm activities and critical knowledge paths to improve decision-making timeliness

  • Participate in the Knowledge Management Working Group to identify gaps and develop innovative KM solutions

  • Develop and sustain digital architectures, such as sites, portals, and procedures to support KM activities

  • Attend and support meetings, planning events, and briefings at all organizational levels

  • Maintain a digital library of publications, exercise orders, graphics, reports, and training artifacts on the Collaboration Portal

  • Manage government files in compliance with regulations, ensuring availability, transfer, and archival per retention policies

  • Control access to technical records and reports, securing COR approval before any external disclosures

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with the DoW

  • 5+ years of experience with Military Knowledge Management

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Suite of tools

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Graduate of Army Knowledge Management Qualification Course (AKMQC) preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
