Description

At Pershing General Hospital & Nursing Home, our mission is to be the first-choice provider for our community's health needs. We work tirelessly to provide excellent healthcare in our 13-bed critical access hospital, 25-bed long-term care facility, and rural health clinic.

Pershing General Hospitalย is looking to hire Licensed Practical Nurses for our Long-Term Care unit. Active and unencumbered licensure with the State of Nevada is required, in addition to current BLS certification. Applicants who are available to work Monday - Wednesday on night shift are strongly encouraged to apply.ย 


ย Essential Functions

  1. Exhibits behaviors that are consistent with the Mission, Philosophy, and Values of Pershing General Hospital and Nursing Home as well as the culture and objectives of Pershing General Hospital and Nursing Home.ย 
  2. Demonstrates effective skills with the communication, organization, and management of assigned work.
  3. Accountable for the ethical and legal responsibilities related to his/her scope of practice.
  4. Assumes duties as assigned by the RN or physician in the delivery of direct nursing care and procedures, working within established policies, procedures and scope of practice.
  5. Identifies and takes the initiative in expanding own knowledge base.
  6. Records accurate and pertinent information on the patient's record according to documentation guidelines.
  7. Demonstrates a basic understanding of Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance in the organization.
