Job description

Location: Utah       

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an International Tax Senior Manager might include the following:               

  • Serves clients on a variety of international tax planning and compliance matters including in-bound and out-bound transactions, cross-border individual income, gift & estate taxation, export tax incentives (IC-DISC) and transfer pricing.
  • Develops and facilitates internal and external training and other presentations on international tax topics.
  • Builds an awareness of international tax issues and opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Conducts research related to international tax issues to maintain and expand knowledge base.
  • Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
  • Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
  • Actively seeks and provides feedback in order to develop the international tax practice.
  • Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.
  • Manages, develops, trains and coaches staff on the international tax team.
  • Manages client billing for accounting services provided.
  • Develops business with clients within industries and markets that meet Firm objectives.
  • Participates in community organizations and industry functions.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree or LLM in Taxation preferred.
  • You have a CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
  • You have 7+ years of tax experience.  You have 4+ years of experience focused on international tax. 
  • You have familiarity with Form 5471 and Net Tested Income.
  • A strong federal tax background and experience working with closely-held businesses required.   
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience solving international tax issues and opportunities.             
  • Skills in networking and developing business.     
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, research and writing skills with ability to articulate complex international tax issues.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.  
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
