Job description

General Description: The Lateral Partner Senior Recruiting Manager is responsible for effectively managing the recruiting and hiring of lateral partners in Texas, where we currently have offices in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, as well as supporting firmwide lateral partner initiatives. The incumbent in this position reports to the firm's Director of Legal Recruiting and works closely with section, practice group and office leadership to recruit and hire partners with practices that enhance the firm’s financial position and reputation and brand. This role involves developing strategies to attract, assess, and hire partner-level talent to further the firm’s legal recruiting goals.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand lateral partner hiring priorities in the relevant markets.
  • Help to develop and execute a comprehensive partner recruiting strategy for assigned offices that aligns with the firm's recruiting and business objectives.
  • Keep apprised of market conditions and lateral opportunities.
  • Establish, enhance, and manage relationships with external recruiters to develop recruiting opportunities.
  • Cultivate other sources of lateral partner candidates including, among other strategies, leveraging professional relationships within the legal recruiting industry.
  • Manage the contracting process with external recruiters ensuring alignment with the firm’s business objectives.
  • Actively guide partner candidates and firm partners and leaders through the firm’s recruiting process, keeping partner candidate experience top of mind.
  • Plan lateral partner interviews, conduct lateral partner due diligence, draft employment agreements, and compile information packets for leadership to assess lateral partner opportunities.
  • Maintain appropriate recruiting documentation and records.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in Attorney Recruiting, including Partner Recruiting.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications & Education
  • J.D. degree preferred.
