Knapp Medical Center is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Knapp has been providing quality and compassionate healthcare to Mid-Valley residents for 60 years. More than 300 physicians serve on the hospital's medical staff. Position Overview
Knapp Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join and expand its orthopedic service line. This opportunity offers strong surgical volume, an established referral base, and the chance to practice in a growing community.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions
• Perform orthopedic surgical and non-surgical procedures consistent with training and expertise
• Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, primary care physicians, and specialty providers
• Participate in call coverage as assigned
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Adhere to hospital quality, safety, and regulatory standards
