Job Summary
The Pack Out Associate at Direct Edge Media is responsible for ensuring that all printed materials, hardware, and related items are accurately and efficiently packed and prepared for shipment according to customer specifications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, effective communication with team members, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness. The Pack Out Associate plays a critical role in the fulfillment process, ensuring customer satisfaction through precise execution of work orders and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • On a daily basis check the Kitting/Packout Calendar to ensure proper shipment to customer.
  • Procure the prints, materials, hardware or any item related with the work order to complete it.
  • Confirm with team that every item in package is correct. This includes checking for right quantity of materials, size, damages or any special instruction on the work order.
  • Review and distribute work orders appropriately to meet scheduled needs.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and materials needed to cover the Kitting/Packout calendar.
  • Maintain accurate record of activities and prepare reports for management.
  • Communicate issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or other potential loss to the company.
  • Maintain and distribute daily shortage report.
  • Make, set up and check the first package for each work order.
  • Train new employees on the work orders to exceed the customer expectations.
  • Recording attendance for temporary employees on a daily basis, ensuring break and meal times are taken on a timely basis.
  • Document and drive best practices and principles in the department.
  • Schedule pick up as needed for work order. (if trailer needed or express shipping)

Qualifications - Education, Experience, License/Certifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a packaging, kitting, or fulfillment role, preferably in a printing or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with digital, offset, and large format printing processes is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of kitting and pack-out processes.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address potential issues in the packing process.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
