Job Summary

The Kitting Supervisor will be responsible for daily supervision of the kitting process and associates to ensure timely and efficient production operations. Will coordinate with production managers, purchasing, receiving and inventory control in regarding required materials for upcoming work. Will assign tasks and review production work orders to make sure all information is complete and assigned associates are provided with all necessary information and materials to carry out a correct assembly of product. Understand the established warehouse storage plans and receiving processes. Work involves: Job Consolidation, noting and reporting discrepancies or obvious damages; routing materials to storage locations; marking material with identifying information, storing, and stacking materials; rearranging and conducting physical inventories of kitting area; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration or damage; removing material from storage when required. Enters information and updates records in the computer. Involved in Continuous Improvement efforts. Other Duties as assigned.Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs All Activities Associated with the Job Consolidation Function in the Warehousing Department, Including Kitting of materials, storage, inventory control, operating a forklift, preparing product for use by Production.

  • Ensure all required materials are accounted for and ready for upcoming production work orders.

  • Computer work in WMS system for proper allocation and letdown of materials.

  • Prepare materials for use by Production by Assembling, Storing and Delivering.

  • Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain material deliveries to meet Production Schedules.

  • Ensures no stock outs on production lines affecting throughput.

  • Contributes to the Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Ability to operate forklifts.

  • Ability to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine.

Required Skills, Education, Experience:

  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

  • Experience in reporting on key Inventory Control metrics

  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
