Job description

Title: Warehouse Associate (Seasonal/temporary)

Reports to: Logistics Manager

Location: DMG MORI Manufacturing, Davis, CA

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3:40 PM

Classification: Non-Exempt

Travel: 0%

This position has access to equipment and/or technology that is subject to U.S. export control restrictions. Hiring by DMG MORI must be made in compliance with applicable regulations.

The Logistics Team receives both international and domestic freight, and places the material in inventory as well as deliver components to specified locations in the facility based on production requirements. The Warehouse Associate will assist the Logistics Team by preparing the component kits to be delivered to Assembly, ensuring the correct parts and accurate quantities are delivered on-time while maintaining accuracy of the inventory. Other duties may be assigned by the Logistics Manager.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • Unpack crates and stock parts in warehouse
  • Accurate and efficient kitting and packaging through use of tracking tools, equipment, and checklists
  • Preparing, verifying, and keeping records of incoming shipments on a daily basis
  • Comparing information counts, weights, and measurements of incoming shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, invoices, orders, or other records in order to ensure specifications and inventory accuracy
  • Maintaining all data and records relative to shipping activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Warehouse management related experience preferred, but not required
  • Warehousing, receiving, stocking and inventory control experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to load, unload, lift, and move industrial components
  • Fundamental computer operation skills
  • Preferred requirement – certified to operate a forklift or forklift experience

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment (welding, cutting, forming, painting, assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing. Exposure to possible hazards may include sharp edges, noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

Physical Demands:

Frequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements, operating power equipment and hand tools
