Kitchen Supervisory
Salary Range: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour (experience-based compensation)
Position Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily culinary operations for the restaurant, banquets, and all other food outlets. This role ensures consistent execution of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and operational standards while supporting the overall Food & Beverage strategy. Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and managers, the Kitchen Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to the culinary team, maintains a productive and safe work environment, and ensures an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
Essential Functions
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations for the restaurant, banquet, room service, and all other F&B outlets.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff are informed of daily menus, specials, banquet event orders (BEOs), and operational requirements.
  • Monitor food preparation to ensure quality, consistency, portion control, plate presentation, and proper temperatures.
  • Conduct routine line checks to verify plating standards and food quality.
  • Maintain smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Ensure each cook receives and executes correct orders for assigned tables and events.
  • Oversee and assist with food preparation in assigned areas as needed.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, quality standards, and product rotation (FIFO).
  • Assist with inventory control, purchasing, and receiving deliveries; verify the quality and accuracy of received products.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure equipment remains functional and safe.
  • Enforce all federal, state, local, and company sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Instill and reinforce safe food handling and workplace safety practices.
  • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and performance guidance to kitchen team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines.

Education and Experience
  • Previous kitchen experience required.
  • Prior supervisory or lead cook experience preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel or high-volume food service environment preferred.

Skills and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong understanding of portion control, plating standards, and cost awareness.
  • Certified Food Service Handler
