Summary
The Service Technician III provides service and repair of commercial cooking equipment. The Tech III holds three of four CFESA certifications and is trained in at least two skill sets.

  • Operates with 'Safety First' mindset
  • Troubleshoots and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.
  • Utilize tablet to document task (parts order, work order, timesheet) on a timely basis.
  • Communicates professionally with customer regarding required repairs and status.
  • Use proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools.
  • Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked on vehicle.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Heritage's standards and procedures.
  • Participates on-call rotation including weekend/holidays.
  • Obtains correct part numbers through branch parts person.
  • Collects payment on COD jobs.
  • Contributes positively to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates.
  • Participates in available training to increase skill and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Education Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
  • 5 Years of applicable experience.
  • Valid Driving license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards. .
  • Possess three of four CFESA certifications: electrical, gas, refrigeration, steam

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and soft skills.
  • Safe driving record

Work Environment:
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
  • Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
  • Extensive daily travel to work site location.
  • Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
  • Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
