Position: Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our back-of-house team, ensuring a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen while supporting chefs and prep staff.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Operate the industrial dishwasher and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment.

  • Hand wash glassware and implements as needed.

  • Follow strict sanitation and hygiene policies.

  • Assist prep cooks with food preparation tasks.

  • Clean spills, broken glass, and maintain overall kitchen safety.

  • Collect, store, and organize clean kitchenware.

  • Set up workstations prior to meal prep.

  • Monitor small wares and cleaning supply inventory; notify supervisor when stock is low.

  • Sanitize kitchen areas (floors, surfaces) and assist with occasional restroom deep cleaning.

  • Follow chef prep lists and recipes to complete duties accurately.

  • Label, stock, and organize all ingredients for easy access.

  • Measure ingredients precisely and prepare items (wash/chop vegetables, cut proteins, cook rice, etc.).

  • Assist in basic cooking tasks (soups, broths, salads, etc.).
