SanTan Brewing Company is looking for a Catering Kitchen Chef to join our team in Chandler, AZ.

Located in the Phoenix metro’s East Valley, SanTan was founded in 2007 in downtown Chandler, where we continue to operate a 15-bbl brewery & restaurant in our original location. In 2013, we added a production facility with a 50-bbl brewhouse, where we package beer in both cans and draft. SanTan branched out into distilled spirits in 2017 and in 2019 expanded to include Spirit House; a cocktail-driven bar with a delicious food menu, lounge-like atmosphere and knowledgeable, approachable staff. A clear departure from the standard craft cocktail bar, Spirit House aims to demystify the world of distilling and flavor pairing through friendly education and quality service. We're devoted to uncommon quality for everyday occasions and we are looking for eager, energetic and friendly team members who share our vision!


Responsibilities

Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Checks on the quality of food prepared in the kitchen and constantly checks for taste, temperature and visual appeal.

Ensures all dishes are uniform and the established portion sizes are adhered to.

Prepare daily preparation sheets for hot & cold side.

Ensure production of hot & cold side is completed correctly and stored properly before employees leave for day.

Troubleshoot any food and kitchen/food truck related situations that arise.

Hire + Train new catering cooks and dish crew.

Ensures all in house daily procedures are followed.

Insist and ensure Kitchen and Food Trucks are consistently clean and orderly.

Ensure compliance on existing and new Maricopa County Health Department regulations.

Understands and adheres to all company rules and ensures these regulations are followed by staff members

Maintain impeccable personal and operational hygiene as well as high work and safety standards in the kitchen, setting an example for other chefs.

Complete knowledge of dietary restrictions.

Lead by professional example at all times and promote a respectful, team minded work environment.

Offer help whenever possible and consistently demonstrate a team player mentality

  • Maricopa County or nationally accredited food safety certification is required within 30 days of hire.
