HELP WANTED: PART-TIME KITCHEN ASSISTANT
Brown Christian Academy is seeking a dependable, service-minded Part-Time Kitchen Cook to join our Kitchen Services team.
Position Details:
• Up to 24 hours per week
• Approximately 2-3 days per week
• Daytime schedule based on meal service and school needs
• Location: Southaven, Mississippi
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• Follow approved menus, recipes, portion guidelines, and meal schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow food-safety, allergy, dietary-restriction, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with receiving, storing, labeling, dating, and rotating food and supplies
• Complete required temperature, meal-count, sanitation, and inventory records
• Use kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance or supply concerns
• Work cooperatively and professionally with kitchen staff, administrators, and teachers
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have previous cooking or food-service experience; school, childcare, or commercial-kitchen experience is preferred
• Demonstrate dependable attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and strong teamwork
