Job description

Brake Press Operator

QualServ Solutions International is a Middleby Corporation Company. Middleby is the leading global solutions provider for commercial foodservice, industrial food processing and, residential kitchen appliance industries. QualServ, based out of the United States, provides innovative services, products, comprehensive design, and turn-key solutions with a global supply chain team to support multi-national chains across multiple industry segments. The company has fully integrated, 712,000 square foot facilities in Central USA (Fort Smith, AR) which is strategically positioned to service all of North America. The company also has an 80,000 square foot facility in Central Europe (Mokry Dwor, Poland) that services all of Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Asia Pacific and, Africa.

The brake press operator will manufacture a variety of parts by forming or bending metal to the precise dimension and degrees. The process of forming parts will include print reading, die changes, quality checks, computers skills, machine setup and computer programming. The operator must be able to maintain flow and work in a safe manner.

Essential job functions:

  • Operate the brake press to form and bend conveyor components
  • Read blueprints to determine the flange length or where to bend the part
  • Recall basic CNC programming and / or edit basic CNC programming on the operator's panel.
  • Change the brake press dies to the appropriate die.
  • Quality checks, detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Familiar with measuring tools and must be able to interpret and perform simple math.
  • Use of tape measure, square and protractor.
  • Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying is associated with this position.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned
