Job Description

The Clean Room Assembler plays a key role in assembling, packaging, labeling, and kit packing medical device components in a controlled clean room environment. This cross-trained position focuses on assembling containers used for surgical instruments while following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and work orders. The role requires strong attention to detail, good hand dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble containers and related components used for surgical instruments according to blueprints and work orders.
  • Perform cross-trained duties including assembly, packaging, labeling, and kit packing of medical device products.
  • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, nuts, bolts, and locking compounds to secure screws and assemble fixtures.
  • Follow travelers and work instructions to gather required parts from the warehouse and set up the work station each day.
  • Box, label, and package final products and test tubes in accordance with quality and production standards.
  • Inspect assembled parts and products visually and, when required, under a microscope to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain high production speed while sustaining accuracy, quality, and adherence to clean room procedures.
  • Support the shipping department when needed, including assisting with packing and preparing products for shipment.
  • Follow clean room protocols, including proper gowning procedures and adherence to no-makeup requirements.
  • Communicate clearly in English and document work as required, including reading and writing work directions and instructions.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and write work directions and follow detailed work instructions in English.
  • Preferably 6 months or more of manufacturing or assembly experience, or strong aptitude as a sharp entry-level candidate.
  • Experience or comfort working with hand tools such as screwdrivers, nuts, and bolts.
  • Strong hand dexterity for small-part and medical device assembly.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, work orders, and travelers to complete tasks accurately.
  • Capability to maintain high production speed while meeting quality standards.
  • Comfort working in a clean room environment and following gowning and cleanliness protocols.
  • Ability to perform basic inspection tasks, including visual checks and microscope use when required.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
