Job description

Job Description:

This role is critical to driving technical operational excellence for ASM's Complete Kit Management (CKM) programs globally. As a Senior Engineer II, you'll be the technical expert and focal for ALD and EPI products within our CKM portfolio.

You'll lead and implement initiatives for supplier training, documentation, troubleshooting, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. Your work will directly support ASM's mission to deliver cutting-edge semiconductor solutions through efficient and scalable CKM operations.

Job Scope:

  • Become familiar with ASM's equipment, especially ones with CKM programs, and be technical point of contact capable of writing CKM documentation, along with providing troubleshooting guidance, etc.
  • Supplier training, CKM documentation, BOM management and optimization, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Optimize CKM value streams by eliminating waste through engineering efforts while helping to successfully sustain global CKM programs.
  • Lead Turn-around time (cycle time) and quality improvements at global suppliers.
  • Facilitate and efficiently implement CIPs (Continuous Improvement Programs) for CKM products.
  • Use performance and KPI dashboards to track progress of engineering and improvement initiatives.
  • Apply strong technical, analytical, and scientific problem-solving methods.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing to improve engineering and operational gaps ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with managing global customers, escalations, tool downs, and suppliers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or industrial, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in semiconductor industry relating to hardware engineering, manufacturing, process, or industrial.
  • Proven track record in improving engineering and technical operations and product management.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational abilities.
  • Experience with supplier management and training.
  • Expertise in writing technical documentation and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with ALD and EPI process / platforms.
  • Strong understanding of assembly and production methods.
